Atchison Co. emergency management says that the recent flooding has created a new crest record at 44.61 feet. The old record is 44.3 feet in 1993.

The affected area is from highway 136 north to the Nishnabotna River.

People in this area are advised to evacuate their homes, but the evacuation is not mandatory yet.
