The community is east of Union near where the Platte River hits the Missouri. Every homeowner was told around 3 p.m. they would have to leave.

Authorities went door-to-door with the emergency mandatory order given on a recommendation by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers because of concern about the levee being structurally sound. There was no breach, but one could happen soon.
