Numerous Water Mains have just broken in Minot and ALL people in Minot are to begin conserving water at all costs. Sprinklers are to be shut off and businesses that use large amounts of water (such as car washes) are to immediately halt those specific operations. Residents are asked to only use water for emergencies.

First District Health Unit Areas Currently Under a Boil Order:

-The City of Minot

-Minot Air Force Base

-North Prairie Rural Water District Areas 1 and 2, including
Des Lacs, Burlington, Trestle Valley, Crystal Springs, Joyce Addition, Meadowbrook, Chaparelle, Surrey, and Ruthville and the surrounding rural areas (Users west of Minot and to the north of Hwy 2 including Trestle Valley; All users north of Minot and users between Minot and Surrey north of Hwy 52 including Meadow Brooke and Chaparelle)

-Some communities served by NAWS, including
Kenmare, Berthold, City of Burlington, West River Rural Water in the Burlington area, North Prairie and the Upper Souris Rural Water system, which includes
the City of Tolley,
the rural area south between Tolley and Donnybrook including the City of Donnybrook, and
the rural area north of Carpio
